Dreamfights - Men

The expectations of the women's World Tournament is of course also very high. All the ingredients that brings the fighting aspect is going to be present. The number of athletes are naturally slightly fewer (yet!) But of the 29 who are ready will deliver high-class fighting!

Woman class is known for technical fighting and not least a very good pace. As the same case as the men's class you get weight differences that will affect the fighting but this is also a point where it's going to link up different strategies.

Heavy respected practitioners meet naturally faster when the number of practitioners is lower (in relation to the men division) and several of the supposedly best meet each other in preliminary rounds. The youngest performer is 16 years and it is quite an experience to be hold on to later.

Margarita Ciuplyte   LITHUANIA

The first match that attracts attention is between Margarita Ciuplyte  and Csenge Zsepesi. Both of these are among the best in the world and has results to prove it. But they belong to separate weight class that makes them avoid each other in regular tournaments. We have reason to believe that Csenge has a chance to win her first match on her experience (but we can not guarantee!) And then it is clear for a very hard fight! Csenge will face heavier resistance than normal and this is distributed in strength, technique and spirit! But she possesses the same properties, so the question is who gets the best hits and get her game to become the success. A note is also that Csenge will have one fight before they meet, Margarita will enter the mat fully rested.

Carol Brix   GREECE

Two more athletes of the highest class. Both on the podium during the last World Cup, Sato between weight while Brix placed in heavyweight. And there is a significant weight difference between the two. Sato 63 kg while Brix has weighed in at 78 kg. But for them to meet, they must win the preliminary rounds and there are many tough athletes to are waiting! And these are athletes from strong nations such as Lithuania, Russia and Japan. Sato must really use tactics and techniques to meet the super powered Carol Brix. But Sato has possibly a match less before the meet, so this may contribute to an advantage. Sato has also the advantage of fighting in front of home crowd, and the home arena. But all this she needs too, because Carol Brix takes no prisoners!

Misaki Sato  JAPAN

Kumiko Sunakawa  JAPAN

This match is the first for both athletes! So that is that this is a match, 100% for sure going to see! Well here we have Japan against Lithuania, and the two athletes who are well trained and maintain a high tempo. Inga Mikstaite several times European champion got also a strong 3rd place in WC 2009. 8 kg heavier and 10 cm higher in favor of Inga Mikstaite. But Kumiko Sensei is a warrior and have experience of fighting heavier athletes from before. It's very interesting how much it will cost for the winner, the way ahead is very hard! And the winner will most likely meet  Edit Abraham, which is a favorites to reach the top.

Viviana Alexandra Chirila ROMANIA

Once again we see the possibility of a hard, even fight. If both are able to win the first three fights. Both have been in the European top over time, and both placed on the podium at the World Cup in Russia 2009. Then in the two different weight classes, Edit Abraham in the middleweight, and Viviana Alexandra Chirila heavyweight. Both took 2nd place that tells us about what level they possess. Weight difference in this tournament is only two kilograms between them. Viviana Alexandra Chirila 74 kg, Edit Abraham, 72 kg. Both are also in the toughest women's class at the usual +65 kg, which means that they are used to fighting against Carol Brix, Margarita Ciuplyte to name a few. These are two very physically strong athletes, but remember three matches must be won before they can meet. And in three matches at this level, much can happen. Both will need everything they can dig out to stop the other, and this fight may end before the fight-time is over.
