This is the 3rd edition of Torii Kata Cup. Held in Denmark, organized by Roskilde Karate Klubb RKK. Naturally a key person of this is Kata enthusiast Nikolaj V.L.Jensen, together with Roskilde Karate Klub

We have talked about how the whole community have been lifted after the World Championship in Kata 2023. The solid work being done by the organizers of Torii Kata Cup will keep on recruit and build up the Kata level in height as well as the width.

Quite many favorite this setting with a pure Kata tournament also. One thing is the time perspective, if you have a larger tournament with Kumite and Kata included. When it is a moderate size tournament it will work with both. ⇓ (picture from RKK)

If we compare The Torii Kata Cup with the Tomodachi Kata Cup i Switzerland , we do see a lot of the same positive factors making these two tournaments something to prioritize. Both offer great possibilities in the discipline of Kata. ⇓ (picture from RKK)

It is easy to see when you have organizers with a mission beyond the obvious (to see who come in first, second and third place) This create very healthy environments, and developments will be the greatest trophy. ⇓ (picture from RKK)
