Norge i Swedish Open 2016

norske-flagg-kopi-kopi2Swedish Open 2016 trakk mange norske utøvere til Sverige, Göteborg. På damesiden var de aller beste norske med, samt flere i stargropen av sin karriere – på herre siden fikk man endel frafall, men uansett ny rekord i antal deltagere med norskt pass!  Dette var den 6. utgaven, og det har vært noen forandringer gjennom årene – og 6.gang vil si at det er ti år siden den første gang ble avholdt, siden det blir avholdt annenhvert år. I år var det Lisebergshallen – der alt startet for ti år siden.

Shihan Collins to Norway

Shihans Howard Collins 8th Dan will once again visit Fana Karateclub, Bergen, Norway! The seminar will be held 14th and 15th of October 2016, at Kokstadflaten 30.

Two times a years Shihan Collins visit Fana Karateclub and share his unique knowledge of kyokushinkai Karate. The seminar will have focus on basic, Kata and Bunkai.

Swedish Open – women`s divisions

14424742_1046902918740185_2657619257454809475_oSwedish Open had this year two good categories with fighters from Poland, Lithuania, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland and of course Sweden. Sweden made a strong statement last Swedish Open by winning both of the women`s divisions. But what about this year? Both categories had more fighter than last time, and some of the profiles have been really successful lately. But even with more fighters, Sweden had fewer this time. And everyone could sense a challenge from the Eastern European countries: Lithuania and Poland..

Once again the Swedish organization pulled off a great event in all ways. Fighters and coaches are been taken really good care of, and can focus on the main task – fighting at the best level one can do. Swedish Open is a tournament that also give many a standard to see up to. The fighters of this years tournament are mainly from Sweden, Denmark and Norway – with some excellent visitors from the Eastern Europe: Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. We will take a look how it was on the tatami at the 6th Swedish Open..  Photo info⇒
