Mention several times before, one of the occasion was at the 17th All Asia Shinkyokushin Championship held two months ago. This time it was participating in the KWF World Championship held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The top spots in the tournament was mainly shared among Japan and Kazakhstan. Most of the top spots fell to other organizations, only in the women’s category did the host manage to capture some top spots.

French Open Shinkyokushin will be held 23rd February 2019. This will be the 11th edition of the popular tournament, and ill as always offer categories to all levels: Elite, novice and old master category. Norwegian fall-camp 2018!
The weekend 19-21st October was the Norwegian fall-camp organized at Finnsnes, North Norway, by Finnsnes Karate-club Shinkyokushin. For the first time in Finnsnes – Japanese instructors was the headliners. Ochanomizu Dojo’s head instructors Kumiko Sunakawa Shihan and Mitsuhiro Izumi Sensei. For most of us Sunakawa Shihan is the known profile, but being a instructor in Ochanomitzu Dojo, Mitsuhiro Izumi are highly skilled instructor as well! The camp gathered participants from Finland, Sweden and Norway..
Polish Open-weight 2018
20th October, the Polish top elite meet to crown the Polish best women and man in the Open Weight category. But it was not only Open-weight, Kata and the championship for youth was also held – top of that “Old masters” category. The championship gathered participants from all over Poland, over 240 athletes from 81 clubs..
23rd BRANKO-BOŠNJAK-MEMORIAL – shaping up!
A couple of days ago the start list for this years Branko Bošnjak Memorial was released. Once again this sails up to be a very interesting tournament. With ten nations – and that from some, or to be accurate: the strongest nations in Europe. Hungary, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Greece, Sweden, Poland, France, Austria, Spain, and of course the home fighters from Croatia.
A interesting mix of fighters are ready, and as a little extra excitement some of the fighters are competing in a higher weight class than we are use to see them.

Kyokushin Open Norway 2019 will be held in Bergen, Norway 16th February!
Organized by the oldest Kyokushin Dojo in Norway, Bergen The Kyokushin Open have a great history of international fighting. Three years back Poland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway attended the tournament, several organisations, styles and independent full contact practitioners joined. two year new nations entered the tournament, as Hungary and Italy joined! And Last year France and Lithuania! And ladies – sharpen your shins, as before in this tournament there will be no shin-protection in the women`s category.
