Lithuanian Championship – results and videos..

2016_LithuaninaAs a Kyokushin nation, Lithuania would be one of the strongest. Their level are well known, not only in European setting, but also at the World Championship/Cup. Last weekend the Lithuanian championship was held, and besides the  usual interest of the results, the new weight categories was used..

Using the new weight categories, the question is who is going up a division and who is going to stay. The European Championship will use this weight categories, the same as we saw in the Diamond Cup.

We have all ready spoken about the high level in Lithuania, and as an example we saw Antanas Klibavicius in the Diamond Cup, taking the first place, and doing it convincing. In the Lithuanian championship Klibavicius did not even reach the podium in the +85 category. Reign light heavy weigh European champion, Valdemaras Gudauskas took the 1.st place, winning against Vytautas Cepla. Cepla with several EC medals on his record, but in the middleweight.

In the -75 category, a comeback ended with a victory. Andrius Miseckas, well known lightweight fighter (-70) did a strong comeback after 3 years of from fighting. Looking as strong as ever. In the women division, the middleweight had a change of thrones.Gabija Gudeliauskaitė pushed down long time favorite Inga Mikstaite from the top spot. As in the heavy weight Nora Vaznelytė had a real shoot out with Brigita Gustaitytė in the final.
