The Dream Festival (earlier the Dream Cup)really inspire in the way it works. More and more participants find their way in to the event, and if we remember back around 2008, the tournament had about 1000 participants. And at that time it was also a very big event!
In the Dream Cup, all generations from juniors to seniors will compete in this tournament to fulfill their dreams. As the name tells you, WKO hope that this tournament will become an event filled with hope and dreams. It is made up of the All Japan Junior Championship and the Masters Championship which took place on separate occasions every year. In addition to the performance of these two Championships, we will also have a few divisions, thus we believe that this tournament will become an event for everybody regardless of age and sex, fulfilling their vision. This tournament is widely supported around the world, as a Budo Karate competition. The tournament is for men and women of all ages, with Kata & Kumite (weight division) categories designed to fit the specific level of each competitor, and the scale of the tournament is growing every year, with the goal to reach 3,000 participants. Last year Dream Festival 2017 gathered 2318 participants! In the 2018 the event is international, and last year it was national. A national tournament with 2318 participants is a dream itself!
