Kancho Hajime Kazumi – Seminar 2013

 

2-day Karate seminar led by Kancho Hajime Kazumi of Kazumi Dojo covering all aspects of Karate including Kata, Bunkai, Kumite, fighting tactics, Ikken and self defence.

 

 

 

 

At age twenty Kazumi defeated many top fighters to reach the finals of the All Japan Karate Tournament. Since then Kazumi has never finished outside of the top two places in any tournament. His effective punching and kicking combinations helped him reach the finals of six All Japan Tournaments in a row, winning four of these to break Keiji Senpai’s record. He also reached the finals of two World Open Tournaments where he lost to Francisco Filho on boards and Kenji Yamaki, training partner and fellow student of Tsuyoshi Hiroshige’s Jonan Branch.

Hajime Kazumi completed his 100 man kumite at the new IKO1 Honbu in 1995.

2-day Karate seminar led by Kancho Hajime Kazumi of Kazumi Dojo covering all aspects of Karate including Kata, Bunkai, Kumite, fighting tactics, Ikken and self defence.

The aim of the seminar:
To call together karate styles, independent of world organisations, and to evoke friendship, togetherness and brotherhood in Karate while learning from an exceptional Karate-ka.

Participation fee:
£120 per person which must be paid in full prior to the deadline.
£100 per person for payments made before December 25th, 2012.

Deadline for bookings and payment:
50% payment will be required to secure places, which are limited.
Full payment must be made and cleared by May 8th, 2013
No refunds will be given for cancellations after May 8th, 2013

Accommodation and Catering:
Accommodation can be booked via Heriot-Watt University; bookings must be made by 10th May at the latest.
Single Room – £40.35 per room per night bed and full breakfast
Double Room – £66.75 per room per night bed and full breakfast (based on 2 people sharing)
Individuals attending the event should take responsibility for booking their own accommodation if this is required.

Lunch and evening meals will be the responsibility of the participant.

Travel and location:
Travel to the accommodation and seminar is the responsibility of the participant.
The accommodation block and the seminar venue are within walking distance of each other, and a map of the area will be provided to each of the participants within the welcome pack. The campus is also served by local buses for those using public transport (http://lothianbuses.com/timetables/Heriot-Watt_121028.pdf).

Refreshments:
All participants and spectators are asked to provide their own refreshments for the lunch break.
There is a café on campus, open until 7pm, where baked potatoes, filled baguettes, wraps, sandwiches, sweet selection and various beverages are available.

Spectators:
Spectators will be admitted by prior arrangement only.
A nominal fee will be required for all spectators. (Sponsors and under 8 years old will be admitted free of charge.)
Spectators will be subject to the same conditions as participants.
