It is really interesting to follow the development of the fighting in the women’s divisions all around the World. One can clearly see that the level raises, tactics and technics are for sure better – but it is also clearly to see the the explosive power really shapes the game.

Rankings, that we use to do are more or less impossible-at least to perform correctly. One thing is the situation of the World today with the factor as mention, that there are to many organizations to follow, and with significant level difference. Inside one and each could go, but not allover. This year’s tournaments and championships also got results we don’t usually see in some cases – as a direct result of the war i Ukraine. Russia has been completely dominant in some organisations, and with them out the space are open to new faces.

We try to dig up tournaments / championships and fights – and maybe some of them are new for you? If so, it would be great – more we know the greater the fun!

Fights of the year 2021 – 2020 – 2019 – 2018 – 2017 – 2016 –

The 38th All Japan Open – Kyokushin Union

We start in Japan, and the 38th All Japan Ishino Makoto vs Meimi Kinjo. Makoto is this year winner of The 7th JFKO All Japan Open, and that in some really stiff competition. Makoto fighting as Aka in this Light-weight final.

19th European Open-weight Championships

Daria Dobkowska Szefer / Poland had a very good year in the European Champion setting. Winning the -55 kg category (after being 2nd last year) in the Spring. But that was not enough – Szefer manage to win the Open-Weight division as well, during the Autumn! Winning the lightest weight-category and the Open-weight in the same year – that’s a great achievement. Here’ s The Open-weight final versus country team-mate Matylda Bien / Poland.

Karate All Japan Cup

Reina Morishita (aka) vs Koharu Watanabe met in the final of Karate All Japan Cup (Busin Japan) Watanabe will be the one that most of you will recognize. Hard-punching with strong spirit (did get the spirit award in 52nd All japan Open Shinkyokushin) and has been fighting in several Championships all over Japan.

7th World Karate Championship in weight-categories.

Monika Zielińska / Poland  vs Yuna Mokudai / Japan – both are profiles in their region, Zielińska been extremely convincing trough several European Championships, and totally dominated several champions – even World Champions. Mokudai “The High speed punch” girl, Japanese profiles – for us, this fight was very interesting to see, since they don’t belong to the same region, they will not face each other so very often..

7th JFKO All Japan Open

Mihiro Suzuki and  Reimi Asako fought two times this year, and we have the first one ready for you.Their second fight was recently- in the 54th All Japan Open Shinkyokushin. Both times they met in the semi-final. Reimi Asako do have some serious results from before, and did also compete int the 51st All japan Open Kyokushin Union Championship this year and achieved spirit award and some..Their second fight want in the opposite direction than this one – if you haven’t seen them.

European karate Championship Shinkyokushin

Lily Mezo / Hungary  vs Marta Lubos / Poland. These two are not just anyone, and this was a final with a big “F“. Both so well rounded and complete fighters that it would be interesting no matter if it was a final or not – to see them fight.

6th IFK World Championship

Agnes Westrin / Sweden vs Valence Bickel / Netherlands – Bickel coming in with two KWF World Championships medals in her record, been established in the category for some time. Westerin despite her young age, showing very good skills – good enough to challenge a double world champion?

35th European Championship IKO

35th IKO EC, Final -65 Shainez Elhaimour / France – Seda Gul / Turkey, (aka). This was interesting: Shainez Elhaimour became the champion on home soil in 2017. Since then – not to been seen on the podium – before this time. Also worth to mention that her opponent Seda Gul, first time ever on the EC Weight-category podium.

51st All Japan Open – Kyokushin Union (Open-Weight) (men’s final follows)

In this final we got some really skilled fighters – and highly active also. Reimi Asako vs  Takayo Kimura. Both with strong records from many major championships. Asako as others participated in the 7th JFKO All Japan Open – and reached the final this year! Some of you might remember that she reached the quarter final in the 12th World Open Karate Championship Shinkyokushin in 2019. As for Kimura, 1st International Full Contact Karate Championship 2018 champion – and if we for fun go way longer back: 3rd place in the middleweight in World Championship in weight-categories Shinkyokushin i Lithuania 2013 – quite good level in this final!

The 5th WKB European Weight Category Championship

In this Final we have : Anett Kovacs Leiter /Hungary, (aka) – Mirjam Bucher / Switzerland. This was i the heavy-weight category +65 kg. The 5th edition of WBK have a nice setting, good mix of participants and nations.

7th World Karate Championship in weight-categories.

We added a second fight from this tournament: the final in the -60 kg category. Riri Ishihara / Japan vs Rūta Brazdžionytė / Lithuania. A very good fight between two aces from different regions. One might say that they got similar achievements i their region.
