With over 300 entries, (adults and Juniors 1998-1999) the European Championship in Georgia will be almost as big as it was last year in Poland. -and that was a remarkably high number of contenders. This will also for many of the profiles be the first international tournament since the World Championship 2015. New weight categories do we also have, and that bring some new set ups among the fighters..

60-55 kg Women category , 9 fighters.

This category will be a mix of those who fought in the “old” middleweight category and the category below. But as we can see, only nine fighters in the category makes us think for a little while.

We believe it will be a Hungary vs Lithuania setting. This two countries are those that have the strongest profiles, and the top fighters in the division.

⇐Inga Mikštaitė, Lithuanian top fighter with many European Championships victories (runner up in the Open Weight EC  2012/2014, World Cup and World Championship representative for Lithuania (Europe)  Inga Mikštaitė has been used to win the middleweight category with twice the numbers of fighters in the line up.. this could be another one.

Team mate Gabija Gudeliauskaitė ⇒, does not have such as Mikštaitė. But younger at age and with time we think the results will come. Could it be this time to challenge Mikštaitė for the throne?

Hungarian fighters could be those who can make it hard to reach the top for the Lithuanian favorites. Anett Leiter and Lídia Körmöndi, both with good experience and style. ⇐ Lídia Körmöndi the level over her time mate, as we saw in the Hungarian championship. Can the Hungarian powerfighting match the dynamic Lithuanian style?
