In the senior category this year, some of the well known profiles has change their weight class, and some “new” high ranked fighters are to find in the line up, with a strong record from other championships and organizations. And of course – the Polish team fighting on home soil. Are you ready for European championship 2015?

polishShin_logoThe Polish organization have proven several times that they can organize major tournaments in a professional way. The tournament will also be streamed live – like it did the first day.

MArius_Ilas_2013-The middleweight category with almost thirty fighters are maybe one the smoothest categories among the male categories. Ten years ago, ←Marius Ilas, Romania, won the EC for his first time, and since 2005 he has been able to reach the podium six time. What will this technical athlete bring to the mat this time?

collinsSweden with ← Jimmie Collins, Vytautas Cepla/Lithuania, Yasir Mammadov/Azarbaijan, – all has reach the podium in this category, and have the skills to reach the podium once again. The polish team, Igor Lamot, Marek Odzeniak and Gerard Will are all well rounded fighters with their own style. Odzeniak the veteran and Lamont up and coming with a good U22 record. Gerard Willl, fighting for the first time in Shinkyokushinn EC. European Champion IKO1 in 2013, and have swept the KWF clean in EC and World Tournament winning almost all his fight with knock out. Lost to Marius Ilas in Mazowia max 80 in 2014.
But one fact is that Poland has never taken a medal in the middleweight category..! We think that this is the year that it will change.
Vasil_VangelovLight heavy weight has been in the total dominance of Bulgarian star Valeri Dimitrov. Behind him there has been a wolf pack of fighters from Lithuania, Poland and Hungary. This year Dimitrov has moved up to the category above, +90kg, as he did in 2009. So the question then becomes who will step up in Dimitrov absence. We have spoken about Lithuania, Poland and Hungary, but Dimitrov is not the only strong fighter from Bulgaria. ←Vasil Vangelov the runner up in 2013 and 2014, will certainly defend the Bulgarian  winning streak in this category.

lukasHeavy weight with ←Lukas Kubilius/Lithuania, Brian Jakobsen/Denmark, Dorin Margarint/Romania and now Valeri Dimitrov/Bulgaria, will be a powerful class, and it is not only Dimitrov that has moved up from the -90, also Maciej Mazur/Poland, Richard Lizak/Hungary are in the same “boat” This category will offer many very interesting fights.

Rozsa_GaborIn the lightest class, who is at the same size as the middleweight class – do we have a very good spread among the fighters. One of the strongest names, ←Gàbor Ròzsa / Hungary, looking to take his 6th EC title. Andrei Zinchenko, Georgia last year winner, and also at the podium in 2012/13. The polish team are also looking strong, and in this class we have several new young fighters ho are very interesting..
