EC Denmark – now and then!

We are for real closing in to the European Championship in Denmark, and as we can see this will be a great one! Organizers as well as competitors are doing a good job, and the different categories are been filled nicely up! Taking the number of fighters and their level, this EC will hold a very high level. Since last time Denmark was the EC host, fighters have come and gone…and some actually have stayed!

A little look back at the results from the European Championship in 2005, gives us three fighters than not only fought in the EC 2005, they all manage to reach the podium as well – and they are ready for this years tournament also!

Marius Ilas, Brian Jakobsen and Valeri Dimitrov, all three well known profile in the Kyokushin Full contact Karate settings. All three have been several times on the podium since 2005 and up to now. There will of course be one of the questions – will the manage to reach the podium this year?!

In the heavyweight category +85 kg, Dimitrov and Jakobsen would have the possibility to face each other sooner or later. As for Ilas he will fight in the heavyweight, after the new categories added. And as you all know, all three made their way to the podium last year!
