NKO i Stora Höga – Sverige

Stora Höga Open, Sverige er tradisjon for NKO klubber. Dette stevet er drøyt 3 timer unna med bil, fin tid på året, til en veldig akseptabel kostnad. I tillegg til dette er det også særdeles godt tilpasset bredden – et lavterskel tilbud. Annen inndeling ift alder på jr, og det eller beste det er en «minimum to kamper garanti» Her får man Champagne & kaviar til pølse & Cola pris. I år var det utøvere fra Egersund, Færder, Ringerike, Horten og Oslo. Barn – ungdom til senior fullkontakt utøvere hadde NKO på plass.

EFKO fighters ready for Japan

The 1st EFKO European Championship are history, the result well known, and 8 fighters – 4 women and 4 men are ready for the WFKO tournament i Osaka, Japan in May including the rest of the team from previous qualify. Many entertaining good fights was seen trough the 2 day tournaments – a short summary would be that favorites did as expected – and some new faces came trough the surface. The team behind the tournament has been working hard to make it happen, but as mention in the pre-article for the tournament, this was not necessary the easy task to complete.

NKO i 1st EFKO EM

Som om vi ikke har nok EM i Kyokushin, så arrangerte man i The 1st European Fullcontact karate Organisation EM i Belgia i Januar 2020. Dette er et åpent EM hvor alt av fullkontakt kan delta, uavhengig av org og stil. Hos mange organisasjoner er det åpent fra før, dette er fordi man har knappes folk nok til å avholde EM – men i dette tilfelle var det et godt besøkt EM – noe som gjør at plasseringer har status, i motsetning til at man blir tildelt en meterhøy pokal for oppmøte. 24 nasjoner – EM og VM mestere å finne i “alle klasser”.

The 1st European Fullcontact Karate Championship

New year, and new championships! The Gi has hardly dried up before it is once again ready for a major tournament. One can see that it can be smart with more time between all the major tournaments. Not only refers to this case, this was seen throughout the current season as well. Anyway, 24 nations in 8 categories, are ready to kick off the 2020 season – almost there it ended.

10 years ago: Look back at “Hungarian Open 2009”

Many said that the Hungarian Open was a tournament at such a high level, that it even could be compared to the European Championships. The tournament does not exist today in the same way, but it was arranged several times.In 2009 Hungarian Open was streamed LIVE, and with 149 competitors from 11 countries, (European countries, Russia and Kazakhstan) Four categories men and three women + Kata as well. and World Cup fighters, EC champions and more at the line up – this turn out to be a tournament way beyond the normal. Mushin Challenge 2019

Mushin Challenge 15th edition 2019, Regionen på plass i årets utgave. På oppsettet for helgens kamper sto Horten, Færder, Modum, Oslo, Lørenskog og Ringerike. På dagen ble det denne gangen preget av endel sykdom, men da fikk man prøve å fylle inn etter beste evne. Mushin er som de fleste vet “sparring i skjerpede omstendigheter” man simulerer stevnet med håndplukkede kamper som gir god avkastning.

NKO i VM

Hvert fjerde år arranger WKO sitt VM i Japan, og Norge har sin plass sammen med resten av verden. VM er åpen vekt, med alle land representert i form av kvoter på antall utøvere man kan sende. Det det er også kvalifiserte utøvere naturlig nok, de kommer gjennom sine regioner – som ville vært Europa og EM hvis man tenker i Norges sted.
