Big names ready for 2017!
With 3/4 of a year to go, the Swiss Shinkyokushin Organization present big names at their summer camp for 2017! No other than the reign World Champion from Japan, Yuji Shimamoto will be the top name – but that is not enough – Lithuanian top fighter for many years, European Champion, and 3rd at the last Worlld Championship 2015 – Lukas Kubilius, Lithuania.
Marta Lubos, Poland
A highly technical performer, who always performs well in competitions. Very tournament active, and her frequent appearances are noticed by many: In 2014 she fought in three tournament in four weeks, Mas Oyama Memorial, Swedish Open and 12th Challenger Also getting special awards, has been seen more than one time. Entering the EC podium 4 times (14,16,17,18) and also manage to take a strong 2nd place in the KWU EC 2016 and the spirit award. Lubos showed great technical variations, and high pace fighting. High spirit as she entered the Open Weight EC in 2014 as one of the lightest.
Romanian masterclass in Sweden!
This weekend, 26-28 August, the 2nd edition of Camp Banzai was held. The first edition had some of the best Swedish Fighters as instructors. This year Romanian elite instructors was the “main event”, Anca Wallmen, Harris Wallmen and Marius Ilas Sensei’s. The interest to train under these three has been growing in a pace and scale that can only relate to top quality. But there is something more than only the physical experience..
Oppstart i Region Øst!
Sommerferien er over, og Region Øst sine klubber står klare for å ta i mot nye og gamle medlemmer. I tillegg til normal drift i Regionens klubber, er det også satt flere datoer som man bør merke seg i form av store eller små aktiviteter regionalt, nasjonalt og internasjonalt. This day, 27th of July, founder of Kyokushinkai Karate was born. It is hard, if not impossible to think of how our lives should have been without Kyokushin karate. Maybe not for the most of the practitioners of Kyokushin, but for very many. We will mark this day with a collection of old video clips, and maybe we chose some others than we usually does..

Inga Mikštaitė, Lithuania One of most decorated (if not the most decorated) active fighter in Europa. Mikštaitė has been the superior fighter in the middleweight division, and holds 6 European Championship titles (WKO) and added one more recently in the KWU EC. Also at the world stage do she have records, 3rd World Cup 2009 and 4th in the World Championship 2011. Also one 2nd and two 3rd places in the Open Weight EC. Technical very good all rounded, and more than one time sharp techniques has ended her fights before full time. Tactical, various paced fighting good stamina – all that a top fighter need.
The “Technical Award”
In major tournaments as the World Championship, European Championship, All Japan Open and so, the “Technical Award” will be given to the fighter that shows extraordinary technical skills in the tournament. Like the “Spirit Award” these awards will be given regardless if you win the tournament or not. To be given these awards in a world championship, really point out a extraordinary fighter. Zsófia Szabó, Hungary
Zsófia Szabó, Hungary. Working her way up in the European Championship ranks, and taking the tittle, 2016/17, in a very convincing way. Szabó has been one of the stable practitioners in the lighter divisions. Possesses that many misses in that division, sharp techniques that ends in Wazari or Ippon Some merits: EC 3rd 2013/14, EC 2nd 2015 and 1st 2016. Branko Memorial champion 2015/14/13, Winning the Austrian Open +best fighter 2015, 2nd Mas Oyama Memorial 2014. Also showed great skill going up against bigger opponents, and given them technical challenges that many could not match.
