We are for real closing in to the European Championship in Denmark, and as we can see this will be a great one! Organizers as well as competitors are doing a good job, and the different categories are been filled nicely up! Taking the number of fighters and their level, this EC will hold a very high level. Since last time Denmark was the EC host, fighters have come and gone…and some actually have stayed!

Strong Swedish EC Team ready!
Swedish Karate Kyokushinkai, known for long tradition and well known profiles. Sweden have manage to raise their total Karate Kyokushinkai level through long and hard work – the Kyokushin way. We could say a lot about this, but we will focus on this years EC Team, because we believe that it is one of the strongest in a very long time!
2016 Rankings by Kyokushin Results
Each year we get the ranking by Kyokushin results website. This rankings will maybe take a little time to read, but a long time to write and publish. This is some real research and statistics, to make us have a good time reading about this favorite topic. This is not an easy job, thinking of the many many tournaments that Kyokushin fighters attend each year. It have never been so many EC`s as we see today to name one challenge, the level of them a another one… and a third – if a top seeded fighters changes her/his name,will we get it? 😉

Russian Top Level – Videos!
All Russia Championship in Weight Categories was held i December 2016. The level of the Russian fighters, their level is very good,and in Europe it is very interesting to follow – since they do not have them in the EC. And not least now that we are up to this summer’s World Championships in weight classes. And many thinks that Russia will enter with some of the favorites..
Women Finals of the year 2016 – Inspirations..
As the previous article we will look at some of the finals held in 2016. This time it is directed against women classes and some of the athletes who have been prominent there. As in the men’s division, unfortunately we could not get as many we wish. But an excerpt from the same tournament we had the article about men’s classes. The fighting style evolves and there is no doubt that there has never been higher level level than now.
It is also more and more fighting across the organisations borders, and that gives an extra excitements in to it.

Valdemaras Gudauskas, Lithuania
went through the U-22 EC tournaments with a blast, winning the tittle 2012, 2013 and in 2014. He continued his strong aggressive fighting entering the EC podium for seniors, also in 2014 (3rd place) Advancing the next years, and being European Champion in 2015/16/17. Also chosen to represent Lithuania in the 5th World Cup in 2013, and at the World Tournament in 2015, where he advanced to the 4th round. We believe this is just the beginning..
Kenbu Iriki, Japan
2nd in the 11th World Championship, and winner of The 1st International Fullcontact Karate Championship in 2018. Strong tournament fighter, and systematic tear down his opponents with heavy low kicks. All Japan Open champion and podium placed several times. Also the JFKO Champion – 3rd All Japan weight Category in 2016. Winner of the Mas Oyama Memorial in Hungary 2014. Runner up in World Championship Weight categories in 2017. 52nd All japan Open Champion.
Profiles of Poland with farewell performance!
Today (Saturday 10th December 19.00) at the 9th Kokoro Cup, two of the big Kyokushin profiles in Poland will held a farewell performance! The Kokoro Cup is loaded with action – and this will be a very good setting to honer these two athletes for the last time.

Danish profiles Dan exam!
This weekend some well known Danish profiles tried to reach higher grades, and looking at some year since the last time some of them experienced a belt grading – about time many can many say. Well we can only assume that for an example that Brian Jakobsen and Benno Rasmussen made it through the fight session..hm 😉
