It should be no need to advertise for the Danish Fighting Seminar – but on the other hand such a great event must be noticed! The seminar info are spread all around by Facebook by now, but we will add some extra “flesh to the bone”..
Either you have been here and know what this is – and then you will come back. And if you haven’t been here, you can only at least speculate on how the camp is. You have to feel it to believe it. Of course, it is many great camps around – but one need to create something special.. have the Danish Camp manage that? Well with twenty years a row, and waiting list to enter – the answer it quite clear!
Once again, one of the northernmost Full Contact tournaments was held – Bergen, Norway. The event is top class from the organizer, and for almost twenty years the Bergen Karate Club has served this yearly. This year’s event brought together athletes from Poland, Sweden and the whole of Norway.

Improving her her result from 2017 when she came in on 3rd place. 2017 was a very noticeable year, reaching the final in the 6th World Championship weight categories WKO. The only non Japanese entering the podium. A real statement knocking down 3 time All Japan Champion Kikukawa in the semifinal and entering the upper level of lightweight fighters of the world.
During this year’s World Championship we saw another fight between two incredible athletes. It was as known, not the first time they met on the mat. And it was no coincidence that they would meet at this point in the tournament. We all know from previous matches how hard they have been and how much they cost to the athletes. During the 4th edition of the KWU World Championship last weekend several WKO fighters attended – and challenged the top elite of KWU fighters – and in some cases not only challenge, but going all the way and winning the category. In this rapport we will focus on the WKO fighters, and how they came out in the KWU tournament.
Many said that the Hungarian Open was a tournament at such a high level, that it even could be compared to the European Championships. The tournament does not exist today in the same way, but it was arranged several times.In 2009 Hungarian Open was streamed LIVE, and with 149 competitors from 11 countries, (European countries, Russia and Kazakhstan) Four categories men and three women + Kata as well. and World Cup fighters, EC champions and more at the line up – this turn out to be a tournament way beyond the normal. European Championships – Budapest, Hungary 2006, had some of the strongest profiles in the line up. We tough it would be great to look back at the women’s final(s) And in the heavyweight category we had Veronika Sovetes / Hungary vs Gergana Atanasova / Bulgaria. Both some of the very finest and high merited athletes.
Closing in to the greatest event,keeping the full contact Karate tradition alive: A World Tournament in Open Weight – the excitement raises and the expectations have never been higher. It would be hard to tell how such a great championship will turn out – but we will at least take a little closer look at the fighters, the draw and maybe also get to “know” some new fighters as well.. Men D block. Remember: it is only speculation – based on previous records and fight.. We appreciate and warmly welcome when fighters disprove our speculation 🙂
