SLOVAKIAN OPEN – Mayor Cup International Competition
Tournament will take place th of 25 March 2017 in Sport Hall of Okoličná na Ostrove, Slovakia.
As the previous article we will look at some of the finals held in 2016. This time it is directed against women classes and some of the athletes who have been prominent there. As in the men’s division, unfortunately we could not get as many we wish. But an excerpt from the same tournament we had the article about men’s classes. The fighting style evolves and there is no doubt that there has never been higher level level than now.
It is also more and more fighting across the organisations borders, and that gives an extra excitements in to it.
Through this year there have been a number of championships and tournaments. Although some had a quieter year as a result of the World Championship last year in 2015, but most fighters held a massive press on the competition front.Whose performance is the strongest this year? It is almost impossible to crown, but we will take a look at some of the highlights – finals. Mainly we have picked EC, EC Open Weigh, All Japan Open in some different organizations and weight categories.

Ballerup Kyokushin Karate follows up the success from previous years and invites participants with none or limited fighting experience to the annual knockdown karate tournament. The tournament will take place on the 4th February 2017. The purpose of the tournament is to give inexperienced fighters an introduction and to experience with full contact karate. The tournament is open for all styles who want to try full contact karate kumite.
Valdemaras Gudauskas, Lithuania
went through the U-22 EC tournaments with a blast, winning the tittle 2012, 2013 and in 2014. He continued his strong aggressive fighting entering the EC podium for seniors, also in 2014 (3rd place) Advancing the next years, and being European Champion in 2015/16/17. Also chosen to represent Lithuania in the 5th World Cup in 2013, and at the World Tournament in 2015, where he advanced to the 4th round. We believe this is just the beginning..
Top fighters of Shinkyokushin Russia fulfilled expectations, as they met at the tatemi to decide the best fighters in weight categories..

Magamedov Khasai, Nasirov Nazar, Ershov Denis and Lestnikov Vyacheslav takes the men`s category, and Egorova Efrosinia, Valieva Irina, Polischuk Alina and Savelieva Maria winner of the women categories.
KYOKUSHIN OPEN 2017 Norway!
The tournament will be held on the April 22nd, 2017.
Last year Poland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway attended the tournament, several organisations, styles and independent full contact practitioners joined. We will challenge you this time – who will be the next country to enter?!
And ladies – sharpen your shins, because in this tournament there will be no shin-protection in the women`s category!
Førjulstid er synonymt med gradering for de aller fleste klubbene. Og inn mot dette er det hektisk og hard trening rundt om. I løpet av denne siste uken var dagen for gradering kommet, og Oslo Shin reiste til Østfold for å gradere sammen med de under ledelse av Ringerike kk -samt at Tony Sempai var på plass fra Modum Kyokushinkai.
