Finals of the year 2018 – Inspirations…
As in the previous article we will look at some of the finals held in 2018. This time it is directed against women classes and some of the athletes who have been prominent there. As in the men’s division, unfortunately we could not get as many we wish. World Championships and European Championships – just a little peak “top of the iceberg” after a very active year in every possible way. (Photos by Chalita ⇓ )
Finals of the year 2018 – Inspirations..
We have witnessed an incredibly strong year when it comes to athletic performance. A good mix of unexpected and expected results has been seen, and there is no doubt that developments in full contact Karate are moving on.
On general basis, the most of us have lost count of different kind of world championships, countless EC’s etc, and it continues to pop up. But no doubt that those who focus on the right things, in the right order with patience, keeps stability, develops and grows.
Looking forward into 2019, one can only wait with excitements to follow the further development of full contact Karate!

The 11th Kokoro Cup – Fighters!
Kokoro Cup 2018 will set a worthwhile sentence on an extremely strong 2018, where a number of significant tournaments have been held. We are still hearing the echo of Open-weight EC in Hungary, and with some of the main players from this EC – who meet Japanese fighters in Poland this upcoming weekend – as said, this will be the last Kaboom for this year!!
A national contest between Japan and Poland, with five fights lined up. A little different set up as we are used to see in the Kokoro Cup – no not less interesting!
The event will be streamed LIVE!

Ready for the 12th World Championship 2019!
European Open-weight championship that was recently held worked as a qualify tournament for women into the next year World Championship – The 12th World Championship. To represent the European Region in the World Tournament indicates clearly that you are a very skilled fighter. To have a qualifying procedure – that alone sets a certain standard to the tournament! Of course everyone wants to fight, but one should be proud of the high level this create. All have seen it, championships at EC and WT level where fighters can reach the podium with no fights. This undermines the quality we all want on an EC / WT champion or medalist. A look at the 8 fighters that are ready..
Russia WKO – 2019 World Championship Fighters ready!

EC Open-weight – strongest ever?
One or so week after the European Championship, and we are still amazed by the level and the dedications by all part into the tournament. Numbers of athletes and nations are high, the quality of the fighting or the Kata are without top level. Specially the level of fight, that have been measured up against world athletes from all over the world and across organizations. That this was going to be a very strong EC, there was no doubt, and it was seen early in the process. The number of athletes and not least who was in the line up made this clear.
