The 9th French Open seems also this year to be a very strong tournament. Last year we saw several top fighters from the European region enter the tournament – and that was not it, also strong nations from outside the European region entered the tournament. Also this year we can see that counties as Kazakhstan are ready for the tournament, looking back at Diamond Cup, we all know what to expect!

French Open is a “full senior tournament” with that we mean they have a novice, elite and a senior category. To offer a tournament in these matters demand a lot of hard work, but hard work are what it`s all about!

This years ELITE category do all ready have set of merited fighters. Mainly from the Shinkyokushin, but also from other organizations – an nothing is better than that.

The tournament do have the “new” weight categories,but some changes are been done as far that we can tell.

• Men elite -65, -75, -85 and +85.
• Women elite under/over 65kg.
• Novice men -70. -80, +80 kg Novice
• Women under/over 65kg
• 35 years old and above, no category.
