The best Shinkyokushin nations in Europe were gathered in Croatia this weekend. Branka Memorial is a highly recognized tournament that has built up a reputation sit through nearly 20 years. The tournament is tough, challenging and well organized. Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, France, Greece and Croatia had fighters who fought for a place on the podium. This was the seventeenth time the tournament was held, and it was as always well merited practitioners with. Several European champions and winners of other major Open tournament.

Lightweight Men under 70 kg was won by ANDRIUS MISECKAS from Lithuania. He has for many years been among the best in this class seen in relation to the European level. In September he won the Swedish Open, and continues with this gain. Additional space for PETO Krisztian from Hungary. Vasil Angelov from Bulgaria and Dominic Parol- Poland on 3 place.

This year’s middleweight victory went to Hungary and Marcell TOTH. And with that he was defending his win from last year. Last year there were only Hungarian athletes on the podium, while this year it consisted of several nsajoner. Second place went to Aristotelis MELIKIADIS from Greece and 3rd place went to MIROSLAV Milev from Bulgaria.

Many assumed that men Heavyweight would be a minor division. This considering that the EC held open weight in a week. Whether if the class was smaller than expected, the level was good as hoped. The over 65 kg division for women was won by the great favorite of Hungary Szepesi Csenge. 2nd place went to the home fighter KRISTINA KOJUNDŽIĆ, and third place also went to a home fighter STELA OROZ, along with Nora VAZNELYTE from Lithuania
