Lukas Kubilius had a very strong season in 2011, and in three of the biggest tournaments he became no worse than No. 4 And considering that this was during the World Championship! During the European Championships, he took a good second place,only passed by Donatas Imbras.

Kubilius is also a major contributor to the "Shodan" his home Dojo. As an athlete has any doubted his abilities, and there is no doubt that he is doing a very good job as a motivator and role model for the younger athletes in Karate environment. This is not only to the local Dojo, but also when it comes to following up the younger athletes in competitions and various events around. |

Below is an amateur recordings taken from Kubilius homecoming after his strong 4th place in the world championship in Japan in 2011 October. It is easy to see the pure joy of his younger fans! -and maybe extra when the distribution of the victory cake!

7th August the tournament Australia vs the World. In this tournament Lukas Kubilius captured the second place. Roman Nestereko from Russia took the title. And just about two moth later Kubilius and Nesterenko fought the bronce finale, the battle of third place in the Word Tournament in Japan! In this fight both was characterized with sevral hard fights, and showed tremedous spirit just enter the mat. Kubilius could bearly walk up the stair to the arena, and Nesterenko had been knocked clean out by Norichika Tsukamoto just minutes before the fight! |
