Unstoppable Bulgarian fighters in the Europen Championship 2006

 5th EC title in a row for Dimitar Popov, 2nd EC title for Valeri Dimitrov with Ippon victories in all his fights!

 

 

In the lightweight division there was no doubt Dimitar Popov`s 5th European Championship title. All tought the division was packed with other strong fighters. Lithuania's Andrius Miseckas was the other fighter who reach the final, with  Elnur Rafailov of Azerbaijan and Gabor Rozsa of Hungary in third place. This European Championship was the last that Dimitar Popov fought in the lightweight division, and his five time legendary wins stand today.

Outcome of the middleweight become a suprise to many as Christian Christiansen from Denmark pulled it off i the final against the experienced Frenchman Johnny Desmedt in the final. Third place went to Bulgaria's Milush Draganov along with Orest Proc of Lithuania, both also strong fighters in a thight middleweight division.

 

 

Valeri Dimitrov in the heavy weight took out all his opponent with Ippon, and took his second title in a convincing maner. The winner from 03 and 04, Darius Gudauskas of Lithuania took second place. Mindaugas Pavilionis who was runner up last year taking third along with Hungary's Roland Fülöp.

In the super heavyweight, Hungarian Daniel Torok retained his title from last year with a victory against Lukas Kubilius in the final.Semen Garan of Ukraine, took third place along with his experienced compatriot Olexiy Kasatanov.
