Favorites makes their mark, once again. Gabor Rozsa, Lukas Kubilius, Valeri Dimitrov, Inga Mikstaite, Margarita Ciuplyte did all win as many predicted. It was in the men's middleweight, we saw a change compared to last year's results.

<-- Orest Proc from Lithuania took his first EC title, taking out Swedens Jimmie Collin in the final. This was one and mostly the best final of the day. Collins fought and won aginst Marius Ilas, Romania, the fight before, and this result was for many a suprise. However it was two foult, and warnings that make the end for Ilas placed in thrird place for the day, with Artem Bilotskyi,Ukraine.

Super heavyweight went to Lukas Kubilius Lithuania.--> With coutryman Donatas Ibras on the side line, Kubilius took his way to the final in his powerful way of fighting with strong punching combinarions. In the final this was the recipe to overcome Brian Jackobsen from Danmark. Sweden with Fredrik Olsson in third place, get some of the same medicine from Kubilius the fight before. Plans capture the other 3rd place with Lukasz Lemieszko.

Lightweight - Gabor Rosza Hungary. Unstoppable in this division, and it was never doudt about this one. Polish fighter Matuesz Garbacz, could only fight in defence in the final. But had early in the day showed strong fighting. Georgia took both 3rd places in this category with Andrei Zinchenko and Mikheil Tskikluari.

Heavy weight  <--Valeri Dimitrov. Taking the category with no challenger to push him. Hungarain Zsoly Balogh went out early in the tournamnet, one of the fighters that have been in the top of the division for the last years. The finale did not happend when Lithuaninan fighter, Adgar Secinski could not fight. Polish fighter Maciej Mazur in third place, was the only one who put up a fight against Valeri Dimitrov. Showing that Poland as a nation is taking a step up from last year. Marek Wolny also Poland 3rd place.

In the womens divisions the same pattern was to see. Heavyweight won by Margarita Ciuplyte, facing Hungarian Csenge Szepesi who had entered a heavier division than she used to. And with no doubt making this deby good. Edit Abram ended in third place, showing raw fighting in the early rounds. Third place also to Diana Balsyte also from Lithuania.

Middleweight won by Inga Mikstaite. This categori had sevral good fighters, and many of the fights was close race. Hungarian Lídia Körmöndi in 2nd and Helga Toth also Hungary in third with Stefanova Yanitsa.

Lightweight women was dominating by Lithuania, Mačiūtė Diana 1-st Ruta Dobilaite 2.d an Isis Pinilla Spain 3rd with Garrido Nuria also Spain

Margarita Ciuplyte. Best technique women.

Todays fighters showed us real strong preformence, and it must be said that the arena was not "nice" in the way of ventilation. Many of the people had headache, and it is hard to show top level in these terms. But this is a commend problem.  The changes from first day with Kata and jr fighting, was a must for things to work. The set with 4 fighting areas was to much at this arena, and did not work out as it should do. So the senior tournament Saturday was a great improvment, and showed proficient skills in adapting as necessary!

The Japanese delegation put a great positive impact on the tournament with their presence. And the Belgian organization shows great goals for their work in and around karate here in Belgium. No doubt that Shinkyokushin Belgium have a big and warm hearts, and show how challenges can be beaten!

Osu!
