Fighting in the Shadow...

In some circles, we have an expression called "fight in the shadow" This is a term foran athlete who always are there, but that is often overshadowed by the fact that he (or she) usually is No. 2 or 3 . But without these athletes would not those who are No. 1 will be as well promoted as they do either.

In Kyokushin, we have Spirit award and technical price. These two are helping to promote just such cases as it is focused on here.

This helps to remind us that it is in many cases in the shadow the hardest battles are fought ..

In Kyokushin Karate, we give the credit to fight as long as they do their very best. And this is perhaps some of the strongest you can find in the motivation to carry on, even if you do not end up on top in the tournament.
One can compare it to build a pyramid. You need all the stonefor a strong pyramid, even if the stone on top seems to shine brightest, it can never manage to reach the top alone.
